I find it really fun to create fire in Maya. Especially with fluids. I also find fire to be relaxing and mesmerizing. For one of my projects in Visual Effects 2, I wanted to simulate a candle fire and glow. The class focused more on Fluids in both Maya and Houdini. Though, in the second project, we were to work in Houdini, I found myself working in Maya more. Houdini has a simpler system of working on fluids, however, most of the fluids seem blobby compared to the rendered quality in Maya.

I did learn how to create fluids in Houdini and control the flames, however, I found the fluid system in Maya much superior.

In Software Technology, we were asked by the teacher to research a basketball free throw and simulate it in Houdini. I had initially modeled assets in Maya, but couldn't get them to load in Houdini. So, I modeled in Houdini and began my process. I played around with the constraints and rigid bodies. I had gotten a result, but it was the wrong one that I wanted. Apparently, I had made the basketball hoop as a rigid body and the ball a soft body. The teacher told me that I had the two switched. Instead, the ball should have been the rigid body and the base the soft body. Overall, this research project was fun and funny with the results.

These are some comic pages I'm working on for a personal project called "Let the Moon Rest". It's a murder mystery. To see more, please visit my InkBlazers, Taptastic or my deviantArt.
Here are some illustrations that I've worked on in the past and this year!

For my first project in my Character Animation 2 class, we were asked by our teacher to do a Pantomime. Here's the process of my first ever Pantomime animation!

These are my prepro sketches done in my sketchbook.

My final for CAN1. We were told to do a simple walk cycle and make the character push a button. It's one of the biggest animation projects I've had to do so far.

This is a rough side by side shading and lighting scheme for my first time on the S&L Final. I went into this seeing how the evaluations worked. It's not the best work, but I look forward to improve!
